Headmaster
The Acting Head of Erasmus School is Mrs Karina Rowles
MEdSt, BA, TPTC. Mrs Rowles will head the school for
the final term of 2009, A new Head will be appointed to take effect
from Term 1 of 2010. Mr Jonathan Tickner has been the
Headmaster since the school's inception in January 1996. Read a

The Headmaster is responsible for the daily management of the
School. Responsibilities include appointment of staff,
formulation of School policy and curriculum, the day-to-day
management of the school and teaching some classes.

Parent Representatives
Each class has a parents’ representative (list available for
parents from office and online in the Parent pages of the Erasmus
website - restricted access for parents of enrolled students). The
representative supports the classroom teacher, liaises between
parents and the Headmaster and assists with a variety of school
activities including:
- Encourage parent participation
- Welcome new parents into the group
- Help foster a positive community feeling
- Assist in co-ordination of special events
- Attend Parent Class Representative meetings (2-3 per year or as
necessary)
- Encourage parents with concerns to talk to
teacher/Headmaster/Pastoral Care Officer
School Community
Erasmus School has structured volunteer activity in a pledge
system so parents can partially offset school fees. This has
fostered committed parent involvement with the day-to-day running
of the school, enriching the social environment at the school for
teachers, parents and children.
The school has a Parents and Friends (P&F) committee,
which can be contacted at pf@erasmus.vic.edu.au. The
P&F has a web page on the Erasmus website - restricted access
